Dental Screening and Awareness Camp at Primary Health Center, Bevoor Channapatna.

Dental screening camp was conducted by Department of Public Health Dentistry in association with Government of Karnatak a( Ministry of Health and Family welfare )at Primary Health Center, Bevoor Channapatna.
A total of 45 people were screened, 10 were treated. Oral health education and demonstration was provided to the attendees. Appropriate referrals were made to RRDCH for further treatment.
Dental Screening and Awareness Camp on World Health Day

Inauguration program was held at District Hospital Ramanagara with District health officer, Nodal officer and RRDCH team. Importance
of Oral health day and awareness program was done for all the ASHA workers of Ramanagara district and paramedical hospital Staffs Oral health Day pledge was taken by all camp participants.
A Dental screening and treatment camp was conducted by Department of Public Health Dentistry, RRDCH on World Health Day in association with Govt of Karnataka under National Oral health Program at PHC Akkur Hosahalli Channapatna.
Camp patients were screened and were given treatment including Oral Prophylaxis, Restorations and Extraction’s, Appropriate referrals were made to RRDCH for further treatment.
Dental Screening and Awareness Camp at 6 Different Locations

A Mega Dental screening, treatment and referral camp was conducted by Department of Public Health Dentistry, RRDCH organized by National Medicos Organization in association with SEVA BHARATHI Dakshini Prantha, Bangalore Dakshina at 6 different locations.
A total of 607 underprivileged and slum people were benefitted. Appropriate referrals were made to RRDCH for further treatment.
Oral health education was provided to all the camp patients .

National Dentist Day
Date: 07/03/2025
National Dentist Day was observed and dental screening and Treatment camp was conducted by Department of Public Health Dentistry at
Nirashrithara Parihara Kendra.
A total of 35 inmates were screened and 15 were treated. Toothbrush and toothpaste were distributed among all the inmates. Oral health education and demonstration was provided to the attendees and the program was well received by the officials and the inmates.Appropriate referrals were made to RRDCH for further treatment.
Cons and Endo Day Celebrations 2025 – Endo Zenith
Dates : 5th & 6th March 2025
Venue : Rajarajeswari Dental College and Hospital, Bangalore
Cons and Endo Day 2025 was successfully conducted by the Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics at Rajarajeswari Dental College. The event spanned two days and included multiple competitions, academic sessions, and engaging activities for undergraduates, postgraduates, and staff members.
NATIONAL PERIODONTIST DAY – 2025
The Department of Periodontology observed National Periodontist Day on February 24th, 2025. The department organized a small event which included a brief description of the significance of the day along with release of an educational video and distribution of samples to the patients. The samples were provided by Group Pharmaceuticals Limited. Around 100 patients benefitted from the distribution. The department also coordinated with the institution and organized an educational lecture on “Suturing in Dental Surgery.” The presenter was Mr. Chandrashekar who works as a Product Manager at Suture Planet. He gave a brief overview of suture materials and suture needles while delving into their applications in the specialty of dentistry. The lecture was well received by the faculty and students.
Dental Screening and Awareness Camp at Byalalu Government Primary School, Bangalore South

A screening and treatment camp was conducted by Department of Public Health Dentistry, RRDCH at Byalalu Government Primary School, Bangalore South.
A total of 39 people were screened and 15 were given treatment and appropriate referrals were made to RRDCH for further treatment. Oral
health education was provided to all the camp patients.
CDE Program : “Research Prospective In Implantology”
A CDE Program was conducted by Department of Implantology in association with Department of Research & Publication on 19th Feb 2025
A Lecture was delivered by Dr Siva Teja Sivalenka on ‘’RESEARCH PROSPECTIVE IN IMPLANTOLOGY’’
The lecture was attended by Staff, Ist & IInd year PG’s, Implant Fellows and Interns. There was an interactive session. Overall, the lecture benefitted all the participants.

Condolence Meeting of Padmashri P.M. Vasagam
A Condolence meeting was held to mourn the death of Padmashri P.M. Vasagam, Governing Council member of Rajarajeswari Dental College & Hospital on 17.02.2025 at 3.00PM in Rajarajeswari Dental College & Hospital Auditorium. Dr. Edwin Devadoss, Dean, RRDC&H spoke about the immense contribution of R M Vasagam, and his contribution to Indian space project, of Rajarajeswari Dental College & Hospital. One minute silence was observed to honor the departed soul.
Prosthodontist Day – Prosthartics 2025, Valedictory Ceremony
The Valedictory Function was organized by Department of Prosthodontics and Crown & Bridge on 28/01/2025 at Rajarajeswari dental college and hospital marking the successful completion of Prosthodontist Day-2025 in association with IPS Bengaluru branch. The event was a grand
culmination of achievements and memorable experiences, celebrated by students, faculty, and distinguished guests from various colleges.
The function was graced by more than 150 audience. Dr Ayesha , Post graduate , Department of Prosthodontics moderated the valedictory ceremony of Prosthodontist day celebration – Prosthartics 2025.
Prof. & HOD Dr. Shwetha Poovani, Prosthodontics Department, RRDCH delivered the welcome address, extending her warm greetings to all the esteemed guests and participants.

Geriatric Awareness on Diet and Nutrition
On the occasion of Prosthodontist Day, a Geriatric Awareness Program was organised by Department of prosthodontics on 22nd of January 2025, which aimed at creating awareness about the challenges faced by the elderly population and promoting healthy and active aging. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from more than 70 Elderly Patients, Patient attenders, Staff and Students.
The program commenced with an inaugural address by Dr Rangashree, Intern, who welcomed the dignitaries and highlighted the physical, mental, and social well-being of the elderly in today’s society.
The program was graced by, our beloved Dean Dr Edwin Devadoss, Principal Dr Girish H C, Vice principal Dr Madhumati , PG Director Dr Savitha, Prof & HOD Dr Shwetha Poovani, HOD of Digital Dentistry Dr Gautam Shetty and Prof. Dr Suma from Department of orthodontics.

Dental Screening and Treatment Camp at Sai Institute of Allied Science Channapatna

A screening and treatment camp was conducted by Department of Public Health Dentistry, RRDCH at Sai Institute of Allied Science
Channapatna.
A total of 143 people were screened and 24 were given treatment and appropriate referrals were made to RRDCH for further treatment. Oral
health education was provided to all the camp patients.
World Cancer Day was observed , all the students awareness regarding Oral Cancer was provided.
Table Clinic – Prosthodontist Day
On the occasion Of Prosthodontist Day – Prosthartics 2025, an intercollege competition – Discovery Bench (Table Clinic) was organized by Department of Prosthodontics at Rajarajeswari dental College & Hospital on 27/01/2025.The participants were Undergraduates and Postgraduates of Various Dental colleges of Bangalore with a total of 21 teams with 4 participants in each.
The Themes for Table clinic were : Postgraduates – Advanced Prosthodontics and for Undergraduates – Prosthodontics Simplified.
The Table Clinic was a highly successful event that provided valuable educational opportunities for staff and students. The event helped bridge the gap between theory and practice, encouraging continued education and the exchange of best practices among peers. As the field of prosthodontics continues to evolve, events like these are crucial for ensuring that we stay up-to-date with the latest developments, providing the best possible care for their patients.
Wellness For Everyone- Free Health Check Up Camp

On the occasion of Prosthodontist day 2025, the Department of Prosthodontics, Crown and Bridge at Raja Rajeswari Dental College and Hospital organized a free health check-up campaign.
The event aimed to evaluate patients' oral and overall health, including dental, cardiovascular, and physical well-being, through a series of systematic screenings such as intraoral exams, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, pulse rate ,height and weight, blood sugar tests, and posture checks.
