Dental screening and treatment camp was conducted by Department of Public Health Dentistry at The Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce on 27th April 2025 from 8 AM to 4 PM.
This was part of a mega health camp conducted by Rotary South Bangalore and Rotary Spandana on the occasion of the 97th birth anniversary of the legendary Kannada actor Padmabhushan Shri.Dr. Raj Kumar, organized at the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce. Many celebrities graced the occasion and many workers, artists, and their family underwent Preventive checkups and treatment in our mobile dental clinic.
A total of 240 people were screened, 88 were treated. Oral health education and demonstration was provided to the attendees. Appropriate referrals were made to RRDCH for further treatment.

A screening and treatment camp was conducted by Department of Public Health Dentistry, RRDCH at Cholanayakanahalli, Tavarekere Bangalore in association with DHO, Yashwanthpura ,Government of Karnataka on 25th January 2025 from 10AM to 3 PM.
A total of 48 patients were screened and 14 were given treatment and appropriate referrals were made to RRDCH for further treatment. Oral health education was provided to all the camp patients.

A total of 36 people were screened and 10 were treated. Oral health education and demonstration was provided to the attendees. Appropriate referrals were made to RRDCH for further treatment.
Screening & Treatment camp at Shantiniketan Public School

Venue : Shantiniketan Public School, Ramanagara.
A screening and treatment mega health camp was conducted at Shantiniketan Public School in coordination with DHO Ramanagara on 12th April 2025 from 9AM to 4.30 PM.
A total of 125 patients were screened and 46 were given treatment and appropriate referrals were made to RRDCH for further treatment. Oral health education was provided to all the camp patients.

A total of 30 inmates were screened and 10 were treated. Toothbrush and toothpaste were distributed among all the inmates. Oral health education and demonstration was provided to the attendees and the program was well received by the officials and the inmates. Restoring the structural integrity and functional esthetics of root canal treated teeth is a complex process that requires a multidisciplinary approach. Endodontically treated teeth are prone to fracture and aesthetic compromise due to the loss of tooth structure during treatment.
To restore structural integrity, it is essential to preserve as much tooth structure as possible during endodontic treatment. This can be achieved by using minimally invasive techniques and avoiding excessive tooth preparation. Additionally, the use of fiber posts, adhesive resins, and bioactive cements, help improve resistance to fracture and restore function. CDE Program In Association With SEPTODONT
A successful continued dental education was organized on 25-03-2025, Tuesday by the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in association with SEPTODONT regarding the topic DENTAL CARTRIDGE FOR LOCAL ANESTHESIA. The program began with an invocation song sung by our interns, followed by a brief introduction about the topic and the speaker. Dr. Sathvik.Mavinkurve.S Senior Lecturer from Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery was the speaker. Post one hour lecture, the country managing head of SEPTODONT spoke few words regarding the event. Dean sir and Principal sir also spoke a positive note regarding the event. Later Dr. Beena R gave the vote of thanks. This was followed by a interaction quiz session, with 3 prizes sponsored from SEPTODONT was awarded to the winners. A small questionnaire survey was for conducted for all the participants regarding “KNOWLEDGE, ATTITUDE AND PRACTICE SURVEY ON THE CHOICE OF LOCAL ANESTHETIC SOLUTION AND METHODS” The program was concluded with high tea.

medical community, was warmly invited to take their seats. This gesture marked the formal beginning of the event, recognizing the importance of these individuals in the success of the symposium.

CDE Program on Microsurgery & Hands-on Workshop in Suturing
The Department of Periodontology organized a CDE Programme on “Microsurgery” and Hands-on workshop in “Suturing” on March 24 th , 2025. The programme was attended by around 50 delegates both in-house as well as from outside the institution. The resource persons for the programme were Dr. K. V. Arun, Professor & HOD, Department of Periodontology, Amrita School of Dentistry and Dr. Alina Pauly, Senior Lecturer, Department of Periodontology, RajaRajeswari Dental College & Hospital. This multifaceted programme consisted of lectures, live demonstration of surgical techniques on animal jaw as well as hands-on training in suturing. The programme was well received by the delegates who gave a positive feedback of the same.
