The Department of Periodontology observed National Periodontist Day on February 24th, 2025. The department organized a small event which included a brief description of the significance of the day along with release of an educational video and distribution of samples to the patients. The samples were provided by Group Pharmaceuticals Limited. Around 100 patients benefitted from the distribution. The department also coordinated with the institution and organized an educational lecture on “Suturing in Dental Surgery.” The presenter was Mr. Chandrashekar who works as a Product Manager at Suture Planet. He gave a brief overview of suture materials and suture needles while delving into their applications in the specialty of dentistry. The lecture was well received by the faculty and students.
