About the Event:
: A dental screening, health education, oral health awareness camp was held, in association with Lions Club, at Gangothri International school, Sunkadakatte on 21-1-2019. A team of dentists from the department Public Health Dentistry of RRDCH conducted a screening program for oral diseases among the school children. A total of 160 students were screened and appropriate referrals were made to RRDCH. Informed consent forms have also been given to obtain parental consent in order to provide free dental treatment in the subsequent camps.

Makara Sankrathi and Pongal was celebrated with gaity on 14th January 2019 at Rajarajeswari Dental College & Hospital by students and staff. Traditional attire was seen everywhere. The college wore a festive look with flowers & sugarcane. Pongal was cooked in a traditional way by staff and served to all with vada.
Pot breaking blind folded, singing of sankrathi and pongal songs in all Indian languages and kite flying were organized. Ellu Bella was shared among the participants.
Dean spoke about the importance of farmer who feeds the man kind and urged students to take up causes of farmers whenever they are in need.

A meeting to create awareness of ills of Ragging and its implications was conducted on 14.01.2019.
As per the Dental Council of India directions Prof. Dr Suma. T Member of Dental Council of India was the Chief Guest and delivered a meaningful address to the students. The senior students as well as the freshers shared their experience and praised the college authorities for having “Ragging Free” campus.
Chairman Dr. Balaji, Dr. Shashi Kumar, Anti Ragging Counselling Committee, Dr. Gangaiah Chair person, Anti Ragging Squad and Committee Members organized the meeting and took active part.
Dr. Suma.T Professor of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics who was nominated to Dental Council of India from the State of Karnataka was felicitated by the Management.

A dental screening camp and oral health awareness drive was held at Byalalu on 09-1-2019. A team of dentists from the department of Public Health Dentistry of RRDCH conducted a screening camp for oral diseases for the local population. A total of 24 people were screened, given oral health education and appropriate referrals were made to RRDCH.

A screening camp was organized by Department of Public Health Dentistry in association with Lions Club, Sanjeevini Dist. At Gangothri International Public School on 07th Jan 2019 from 10.00 A.M to 2.30 P.M.
A total of 277 school children were screened and consent forms were provided. Health education was given to all of them using Health education aids. Appropriate referrals were made to Rajarajeswari Dental College and Hospital.

A screening camp was organized by Department of Public Health Dentistry at Kanakanahalli, on 2nd January 2019 from 10.A.M to 12.45 pm P.M. A total of 30 subjects were screened. Appropriate referrals were made to the Chunchunkuppe Dental Primary Health Center and RRDCH for further treatment.

A screening & Treatment camp was organized by Department of Public Health Dentistry in association with Rajarajeshwari Nagar Rotary Club at M. Karenahalli Village on 03rd Jan 2019 from 10.00 A.M to 2.30 P.M.
A total of 110 residents including school children were screened. Health education was given to all of them using Health education aids. Oral Prophylaxis, Restorations and Extractions were provided to 18 patients and appropriate referrals were made to Rajarajeswari Dental College and Hospital.

A team of dentists from the department of Public Health Dentistry of RRDCH conducted a screening camp for oral diseases for the local population. A total of 25 people were screened, given oral health education and appropriate referrals were made to RRDCH.

A dental screening and treatment camp and oral health awareness drive was held at Muthurayanagudipalya village on 20-12-2018. A team of dentists from the department Public Health Dentistry of RRDCH conducted a screening and treatment camp for oral diseases for the local population and school children. A total of 72 people were screened, 14 were treated and appropriate referrals were made to RRDCH.

A screening and treatment camp was organized by Department of Public Health Dentistry at the Govt. Primary School, Kempaiahanapalya, on 13th December 2018 from 10.A.M to 2.45 P.M. A total of 70 subjects were screened and about 20 patients were treated at Mobile Dental unit. Dental health education was provided to the all subjects attending camp. Appropriate referrals were made to the RRDCH for further treatment.
