A screening camp was organized by Department of Public Health Dentistry at the RPS Primary and High School, Doddaaladamara, on 10th December 2018 from 10.A.M to 1.00 P.M. A total of 250 school children’s were screened. Appropriate referrals were made to the RRDCH.

A dental screening, health education, oral health awareness camp was held, in association with Lions Club, at Gangothri International school, Sunkadakatte on 11-12-2018. A team of dentists from the department Public Health Dentistry of RRDCH conducted a screening program for oral diseases among the school children. A total of 289 students were screened and appropriate referrals were made to RRDCH. Informed consent forms have also been given to obtain parental consent in order to provide free dental treatment in the subsequent camps.

A dental screening, health education, oral health awareness camp was held at Hosapalya, Chunchunkuppe on 12-12-2018. A team of dentists from the department Public Health Dentistry of RRDCH conducted a screening program for oral diseases among the residents of the village. A total of 17 residents were screened and appropriate referrals were made to RRDCH.

A screening & Treatment camp was organized by Department of Public Health Dentistry in association with Rajarajeshwari Nagar Rotary Club at Puttiramandoddi Village on 29th Nov 2018 from 10.00 A.M to 2.30 P.M.
A total of 100 residents including school children were screened. Health education was given to all of them using Health education aids. Oral Prophylaxis, Restorations and Extractions were provided to 15-20 patients and appropriate referrals were made to Rajarajeswari Dental College and Hospital.

A dental screening, health education, oral health awareness drive was held at ganapathihalli colony , chunchunkuppe village on 28-11-2018. A team of dentists from the department Public Health Dentistry of RRDCH conducted a screening program for oral diseases in the local population. A total of 15 residents, were screened and appropriate referrals were made to the chunchunkuppe rural centre and to RRDCH.

The CDE program was conducted at RRDCH Classroom on 19/11/2018 between 09:00 am – 05:00pm.
It was organized by Unicorn Denmart.
Around 9:30 am Our Dean, Dr. Edwin Devadoss, Welcomed the Guest Speaker ,Mr. Ankesh M Pakhale, by addressing the gathered.

All together attendees, including faculties , Post graduates and interns were around 90 members .
In the morning Session, Speaker gave introduction about CAD-CAM.
He spoke about Necessity of Why, When , What and How for CAD- CAM, Different applications and advantage and disadvantages over PFM, Various CAM options including printer and Demo.
In the afternoon session he gave Demo on 3D printing, Demo on Dental Systems, Demo on implant Studio, Small introduction to CAD-CAM related to Orthodontics. The participants were allowed to design the restoration using software.
It was a great opportunity to understand use of CAD-CAM in depth.

CDT from Pravara – Loni (Ahmed Nagar- M.S).He has Hands- on Experience as a Dental Technician for 13years and 10 years in CAD-CAM. He is the Head of Department and CAD-CAM trainer for Dental Ceramists, India, Pvt Ltd, Mumbai. He has undergone training and have work experience with #M, EOS, Zubler, Ivoclar, Vivadent, Medit, Exocad, and 3Shape in India, Denmark and Germany. Currently working as Application Specialist for 3 Shape, India.

In continuation of a dental screening camp conducted in Muddenapalya Govt. school, chunchunkuppe village, on 5-11-2018, Distribution of free toothpaste and tooth brush and oral health awareness drive was held at the same afore mentioned school on 19-11-2018, as a part of National Tooth Brushing day initiative. They were educated on tooth brushing, importance of maintenance of oral hygiene. A demonstration of brushing method was given to the children, the teacher, free toothpaste and tooth brush were distributed. A team of dentists from the Department Public Health Dentistry of RRDCH also conducted comprehensive dental treatment in the mobile dental clinic for all the children who had come with parental consent.

A dental screening, health education, distribution of free toothpaste and tooth brush and oral health awareness drive was held at ganapathihalli , chunchunkuppe village on 14-11-2018, as a part of National Tooth Brushing day initiative. Incidentally, 14th November being the ‘Children’s Day” the opportunity was utilized to interact with 15 anganwadi children, their care givers and the anganwadi teacher. They were educated on tooth brushing, importance of maintenance of oral hygiene. A demonstration of brushing method was given to the children, caregivers and the teachers, free toothpaste and tooth brush were distributed. A team of dentists from the department Public Health Dentistry of RRDCH also conducted a screening program for oral diseases in the local population, importance of tooth brushing and oral hygiene was stressed upon. A total of 46 residents, children and adults were screened and appropriate referrals were made to the chunchunkuppe rural centre and to RRDCH.
