A free dental checkup camp was organized and conducted Lakshmipura on 20-November-2019 at Lakshmipura by the Department of Public Health Dentistry.
A total of 15 residents of the village were screened . Awareness about oral health was given with proper oral hygiene instructions to all the residents of the village. Appropriate referrals were made to RRDCH.

A screening and treatment camp was organized by Department of Public Health Dentistry in collaboration with Rotary Club, Rajarajeswari Nagar at Jodi Karenahalli, Bidadi Industial area on 21st November 2019 from 10.A.M to 2.35 P.M. A total of 175 subjects were screened and 20 patients were given necessary treatment. Remaining patients were referred to RRDCH for necessary treatment.
The Department of OMFS, Rajarajeswari dental college and hospital conducted a CDE program in Advances in oral and maxillofacial surgery. All the staffs, post graduates and interns from the department of OMFS and department of orthodontics actively participated adding upto a total number of 70-80 doctors. Dr.Andrews by Royal college of dental surgeons gave a talk. Panel discussion was conducted on various cases like Treacher collins syndrome( Dr.Shruthi), crouzons syndrome(Dr.Beena), vascular lesions(Dr.Rohit), 3D planning for bj-jaw surgery( Dr.Narahari), TMJ Reconstruction(Dr. Arun) by the panalists Dr. Andrew Edwards, Dr. Anjan Kumar Shah, Dr. Pradeep Christopher, Dr. Madhumati Singh. It was well organized and successfully completed.
Dr.Irene Ann Shibu, a post graduate student of Rajarajeswari Dental College and Hospital, was recognized and awarded for her exemplary performance in the post graduate oral and maxillofacial surgery theory examination 2018-19 conducted by RGUHS.
A cash prize of Rs.10,000/- was awarded to her which was sponsored by the Master Class- KLE Belgaum through Karnataka chapter-AOMSI.

On occasion of National Tooth brushing Day on 7th November 2019, The Dept. of Public Health Dentistry of Rajarajeswari Dental College and Hospital took forward the initiative.
A team of Doctors inclusive of Dr Prasanna Kumar YS – Prof. and Postgraduate students of Dept of Public health dentistry conducted an Oral Health education Program followed by distribution of Free toothpastes to the school children.
Oral health Education was given on various topics including Maintenance of Oral Hygiene, Techniques of tooth brushing and importance of regular dental visits.
Nearly 150 school children and 15 school teachers benefitted from the program.
The program was well received by the students.

A free dental checkup and treatment camp was organized and conducted in Government Higher Primary School on 4-11-2019 by the Department of Public Health Dentistry.
A total of 20 school children were screened and 15 were also given free dental treatment. Awareness about oral health was given with proper oral hygiene instructions to all the students of the school. Appropriate referrals were made to RRDCH.
A dental screening camp and oral health awareness drive was held at Doddamaranahalli on 30-10-2019. A team of dentists from the department of Public Health Dentistry of RRDCH conducted a screening/treatment camp for oral diseases for the local population. A total of 36 people were screened and all were given oral health education. Appropriate referrals were made to RRDCH.

About the Programme:

03 Teaching Staff and 15 students of Rajarajeswari Dental College & Hospital attended the Conference held at Kualampur. Dean, Dr. Edwin Devadoss delivered the Keynote address. 2 staff members and 15 students presented Papers and Posters.

A Plastic waste collection campaign/drive was organized in co ordination with Dept. of Public Health Dentistry and NSS unit of RRDCH. A Rally with placards and banner regarding plastic and its harmful effects was carried out.
This was in accordance of the Govt. of India Norms- Swatchtha Hi Seva Hai to carry out awareness campaigns in all educational/professional institutions across India.
Alongside a group of 40 volunteers including Staff and Postgraduates of Public health dentistry/ Interns of RRDCH collected Plastic waste along the Ramohalli Crossroad and Bus stand area of RRDCH on Mysore road.
A separate cell/ chamber demarcated for Plastic waste collection exists in the institutional campus. The Plastic waste Segregated was sent for Recycling/proper disposal.

The Dept. of Public Health Dentistry- RRDC&H conducted an “Awareness Talk On Plastic Waste Free Campaign 2019”
This was in accordance of the Govt. of India Norms- Swatchtha Hi Seva Hai to carry out awareness campaigns in all educational/professional institutions across India.
Dr Prasanna Kumar YS – Professor, Dept. of Public Health Dentistry delivered a talk on “Plastic waste free environment- The way forward”.
Following the talk Dr Padma K Bhat- Prof. and Head- Dept. of Public Health Dentistry led the gathering to Take Pledge on Making our surroundings Plastic Free.
The talk was attended by Faculty members, Postgraduates and Interns of RRDCH. The interactive talk was well received by all.
RajaRajeswari Group of Institutions had organized “The Chairman’s Trophy” which was held among the inter Institutions.

Commemorating, our beloved chairman Dr. A. C. Shanmugam’s birthday. RajaRajeswari Group of Institutions had organized Community Oriented programs at Primary Health Care (PHC) & Urban Health Care (UHC), donations to the orphanages and awards were given to all Teaching and Non Teaching Staffs who are serving for the Group of the Institutions for more than a decade.
