E-Poster Competition – Role of Dentist during COVID -19 Pandemic
On occasion of “NATIONAL PUBLIC HEALTH DENTISTRY DAY” 2020- An E- poster competition was organized by Department of Public Health Dentistry-RRDCH on 19th of June 2020.
The theme for the E poster was “ ROLE OF DENTIST DURING COVID -19 PANDEMIC ”
There was an enthusiastic response from 1st to 4th BDS students, MDS post graduate students and Interns from RRDCH and PNM dental college Bagalkot.
All the participants received an E- certificate of participation and the winners received an E- certificate of Merit.
The winners E posters and names are displayed across digital platforms of Rajarajeswari group of Institutions.
Guidelines for E-Poster:
1. Competition for BDS & MDS students of all years & Interns.
2. Free Hand drawing / Collage

4. To be submitted in pdf format for evaluation

World Environment Day 2020
On occasion of WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY 2020 an online presentation encompassing the GO GREEN initiatives by Rajarajeswari Dental College and Hospital for ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION was displayed in a Video.
The presentation was well appreciated and by all the audience who were present for the ensuing webinar for No tobacco day organized and conducted by the Department of Public Health Dentistry, Rajarajeswari Dental College and Hospital.

Cons-Endo Day 2020
March 5th is marked to be a memorable day for the Endodontists worldwide. We, the Department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics proudly celebrated this year’s Cons-Endo Day with the motive of Creating an Awareness about our specialty to the patients & also spreading the concept of Plastic Free Dental Practice.
The department has organised Free Aesthetic Restorative Procedures for all the patients who were referred to our department on March 5th from 9.30am to 3.30pm. The treatment included Direct composite veneers, Angle build ups, Bleaching, Aesthetic restorations for which the material was sponsored by 3M company. The patients were made aware of different possible Aesthetic Procedures & Free Oral hygiene kit was given. There was cake cutting ceremony in the presence of NAAC peer team who distributed saplings to the patients with the aim of spreading the concept of Go Green. The post graduates followed a Plastic Free Practice by using paper glass, paper suction tips, Biodegradable drapes & mouth mask etc. There were also cultural programmes performed by the Post graduates thereafter with the theme of save water.
The department has organised Class II cavity preparation competition for different categories viz; Staffs, Postgraduates, Interns & Undergraduates. A study model competition was also organised for the second year undergraduate students.

A screening camp was organized by Department of Public Health Dentistry at the Doddamaranahalli, Chunchunkuppe, on 11th March 2020 from 10.A.M to 12.30 P.M. A total of 34 school children were screened. Appropriate referrals were made to the RRDCH and Chunchunkuppe Dental Primary Health Center.
Dental Screening Camp at Chunchunkuppe
On the Occasion of WORLD DENTIST DAY 2020, a Dental screening camp and tooth brushes and pastes distribution program was held at Chunchunkuppe Dental Clinic, Chunchunkuppe on 6-3-2020. About 35 school children along with their Head Master, Govt Higher Primary School participated in the screening camp. All school children were screened for any oral diseases in the camp. In addition they were provided Oral Health Education by PG student, Department of Public Health Dentistry, RRDCH. Later all the school children were provided with Tooth Brush and Tooth Paste from the Dignitaries present at the occasion.
