CONTENTS: Dental screening and treatment camp was conducted by Department of Public Health Dentistry in association with Government of Karnataka (Ministry of Health and Family welfare) at Primary Health Center, BV Halli Channapatna on 13th August 2025 from 09:15 AM to 4:00 PM.
A total of 35 people were screened and 10 were treated. Oral health education and demonstration was provided to the attendees. Appropriate referrals were made to RRDCH for further treatment.

Contents: Dental screening and treatment camp was conducted by Department of Public Health Dentistry in association with Government of Karnataka (Ministry of Health and Family welfare) at Primary Health Center, Akkur Hosahalli Channapatna on 6th August 2025 from 09:15 AM to 4:30 PM.
A total of 24 people were screened and 4 were treated. Oral health education and demonstration was provided to the attendees. Appropriate referrals were made to RRDCH for further treatment.

Screening Awareness and Treatment camp at Lalith Castle International School

Venue: Lalith Castle International School,Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Bangalore
On the occasion of Oral Hygiene Day, the Department of Public Health Dentistry, RRDCH conducted a health education ,screening and treatment camp at Lalith Castle International School, Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Bangalore on 1st August 2025.

A total of 150 students were screened for various oral health conditions. Appropriate referrals were made to Rajarajeswari Dental College and Hospital (RRDCH) for further evaluation and treatment wherever necessary. In addition to screening, oral health education sessions were conducted to create awareness about the importance of maintaining oral hygiene and adopting healthy dental practices from an early age.

The camp marked the celebration of Oral Hygiene Day 2025 with the objective of promoting preventive dental care among school children. The event witnessed active participation and was well-received by students and school staff.

2nd National IPS UG Convention 2025

The Intercollegiate Cultural and Scientific Convention 2nd National IPS UG Convention 2025 was held on 25th and 26th of July 2025 at VS Dental College & Hospital Bengaluru, drawing vibrant participation from students representing various institutions. The event successfully blended intellectual rigour with cultural expression, offering a stimulating platform for students to exhibit their diverse talents.

The Convention began with various engaging and enlightening scientific sessions, where the guest lectures showcased cutting-edge research, clinical advancements, and innovative approaches in the field of Prosthodontics and dentistry.

We sincerely thank our beloved Dean sir,Dr. Edwin Devadoss, Dr. Girish H.C, Principal, Dr. Krishna Kumar , Professor & Head,Department of Prosthodontics and Dr. Shwetha Poovani, Professor Department of Prosthodontics & Executive council member of IPS B’lore Branch for their unwavering support, expert guidance, and for encouraging student participation, which greatly enriched the academic spirit of the convention.

CDE Programme on Distraction Osteogenesis

Program Overview:
The Continuing Dental Education program titled “Distraction Osteogenesis – From Traction to Transformation” aimed to explore the journey of this transformative surgical modality, from its foundational principles to advanced clinical applications in maxillofacial and craniofacial deformities. The session was designed for postgraduate students, interns and faculty to bridge academic knowledge with modern clinical practice.
The auspicious lightening of lamp, along with a invocation song marked the beginning of the event.
Following which Dr Mamatha NS, Professor and Head, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery delivered the welcome speech.

Preconvention course on “Next Gen Dentistry – The Digital Revolution”

As part of the 2nd National Undergraduate Prosthodontic Convention hosted by the Indian Prosthodontic Society, the Department of Prosthodontics at Rajarajeswari Dental College and Hospital successfully conducted a preconvention course titled “Next Gen Dentistry – The Digital Revolution” on 24th July 2025. The program was a resounding success, drawing more than 200 enthusiastic participants from over 12 dental colleges across Karnataka.

A screening and treatment camp was conducted by Department of Public Health Dentistry, RRDCH at Lalith Castle International School Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Bangalore on 30th July 2025 from 10AM to 3 PM.

A total of 440 students were screened and appropriate referrals were made to RRDCH for treatment. Oral health education was provided to all the attendees.

Dental screening camp was conducted by Department of Public Health Dentistry in association with Government of Karnataka (Ministry of Health and Family welfare) at Primary Health Center, Islampur Channapatna on 29th July 2025 from 9:15 AM to 4:30 PM.

A total of 28 people were screened. Oral health education and demonstration was provided to the attendees. Appropriate referrals were made to RRDCH for further treatment.

A total of 21 people were screened and 4 were treated. Oral health education and demonstration was provided to the attendees. Appropriate referrals were made to RRDCH for further treatment.

CDE PROGRAMME on Speed, Safety, Success: Rotary Decoded

Guest Speaker: Dr. Arun Jayasheel

A Continuing Dental Education (CDE) programme titled “Speed, Safety, Success: Rotary Decoded” was held on 18th July 2025 at Lecture Hall 3, with the aim of enhancing the knowledge and practical skills of postgraduate students in the field of rotary endodontics.

The event commenced with a formal inauguration ceremony, graced by faculty members and postgraduate students. Following the inauguration, an insightful and engaging lecture was delivered by the guest speaker, Dr. Arun Jayasheel, a renowned expert in endodontics. His talk focused on the principles, techniques, and clinical tips for performing rotary endodontics effectively and safely, emphasizing the importance of precision, speed, and patient safety.

After the lecture, a break provided an informal platform for interaction and discussion. The session resumed with a live demonstration of rotary instrumentation techniques. This was followed by a hands-on training session exclusively for in-house postgraduate students, allowing them to gain valuable practical exposure under expert supervision.

The programme concluded with the distribution of certificates to all participants, recognizing their active engagement and commitment to professional development.

Overall, the programme was highly appreciated by attendees and contributed significantly to enhancing clinical competence in rotary endodontics.

A total of 95 people were screened , Oral health education and demonstration was provided to them. Appropriate referrals were made to RRDCH for further treatment.

Dental Screening and awareness Camp at HK International School, Uttarahalli

Date : 16/07/2025 and 17/07/2025
Dental screening camp was conducted by Department of Public Health Dentistry at HK International School, Uttarahalli on 16th July 2025 and 17th July 2025 in association with Samyak Drishti Eye Hospital from 10 AM to 3 PM.

A total of 253 people were screened. Oral health education and demonstration was provided to the attendees. Appropriate referrals were made to RRDCH for further treatment.

Dental screening and treatment camp was conducted by Department of Public Health Dentistry in association with Government of Karnataka (Ministry of Health and Family welfare) at Primary Health Center, Mudugere Channapatna on 15th July 2025 from 09:15 AM to 4:00 PM.

A total of 42 people were screened and 12 were treated. Oral health education and demonstration was provided to the attendees. Appropriate referrals were made to RRDCH for further treatment.

Screening and Treatment camp was organized by the Department of Public Health Dentistry at Nirashritara parihara Kendra on 4/7/2025
Dental screening and treatment was done for the inmates of the institution and Awareness was provided about the importance of oral health.
Oral Health awareness was provided through Charts and Brush & model to the inmates and staffs of NPK. Referral mechanisms were made to enable them to seek dental care at RRDCH.

International Yoga Day Program 2025

International Yoga Day program -Yoga Sangam was conducted in Rajarajeswari Dental college and hospital on June 21,2025 by Ms .Sushma Shankar yoga instructor from Decathlon Bangalore.
The faculty post graduates and undergraduates participated in the yoga session. The instructor guided the participants to perform Trikonasana,Bhujangasana , surya namaskar and various other asanas. The sessions was really organised The yoga session ended by performing a deep relaxation .
The Yoga day program was a great experience for the students and the faculty and was celebrated with great enthusiasm.
