Title: Industrial visit – Confident Dental Equipments Pvt Ltd

An Industrial visit to Confident Dental Equipments Pvt. Ltd, Bangalore was organised by our college on 20th Jan 2023 .60 interns accompanied by Dr.Mahesh Kumar T S and Dr . Nimmi Janardhanan had been to Confident Dental Equipments Pvt Ltd ,in Bangalore.
Mr.Manjunath the manager of the company gave a brief introduction about the story behind this successful company and also the vision of the Managing director Dr. B. Subhaschandra Shetty, M.D.S. and how far they have achieved..
He also mentioned their vast infrastructure and its branches all over the country.
And then interns were divided into two groups headed by Mr Manjunath and his colleague Mr. Abishekh.
Each and every equipment was shown and explained. They also had different medical equipment ,dental equipment and also lab equipment.
They also mentioned about the varied manufacture of products starting from the smallest bur to CBCT Machines to Dental chairs. They also gave us an idea of how to choose a dental chair, and how to set up a dental clinic . A brief view of the manufacturing unit was shown.
It was a whole new experience for the interns.

A dental screening camp was conducted by Department of Public Health Dentistry, RRDCH in association with Universal Group of Institutions, Ramohalli on 16 th JANUARY 2024 from 10AM to 3 PM.
A total of 240 people were screened. Appropriate referrals were made to RRDCH for further treatment. Oral health education with Preventive health talk was was provided to all the camp patients and it was well perceived by the students of the school.

Site: Kavanapura, Ramnagar, Karnataka
A screening and treatment camp was conducted by Department of Public Health Dentistry, RRDCH at Kavanapura, Ramnagar, Karnataka on 18 th January, 2024 from 10AM to 3PM .
A total of 130 people were screened and 35 were given treatment and appropriate referrals were made to RRDCH for further treatment.
Oral health education was provided to all the camp patients.

Department of Prosthodontics, RRDCH are elated to host “ProsthARTics – 2024” on the occasion of ‘Prosthodontist’s Day’ an Inter-college summit on 16th to 23rd of January 2024. We are conducting various scientific, cultural and artistic competitions during the event.

27th Graduation Ceremony of Rajarajeswari Dental College and Hospital was celebrated on 09.10.2023 at ACS Convention Center of Rajarajeswari Group of Institutions. The Graduation ceremony began with the Mysore Anthem by interns followed by welcome address by Dean Dr. Edwin Devadoss.
Dr. A. C. Shanmugam Founder Chairman of Rajarajeswari Group of Institution presided the function. In his presidential address he recounted the past years of the institutional program.
The Guest of Honour was The Royal Highness Sri .Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamraja Wadiyar Maharaja of Mysore.
He graced the event with his mesmerising speech and his presence.
Over all 139 students received their degrees and diplomas.11 of them received Gold Medals by the cheif guest. All in the presence of their proud and happy parents. It was a blissful occasion to everyone which ended with the vote of thanks by our Principal Dr. Girish. H. C. and followed by lunch.
From there on the College day started , which included dance performances, singing and fashion show by our teachers and students.

Vijayotsava -Kannada Rajyotsava Day was celebrated in all enthusiasm on 29th November 2023 at Rajarajeswari Dental College & Hospital. The entire college was decorated with Yellow and Red flags and balloons. Everyone wore traditional attire.
Inter department competition was conducted , where in each departments were decorated representing different parts of karnataka.
The program started with flag hoisting at 2.00 pm by our Chief Guest Suraj K M followed by Naada Geetha .
The cultural programs were conducted in the auditorium .
The guest of Honour of the program was Suraj KM
He entertained the gathering with his impeccable performance.
 

FELIZ NAVIDAD – Christmas Celebration was organised at Rajarajeswari Dental College and Hospital on 19th December 2023. The entire college was sparkling with lights , Christmas trees , stars , balloons.
The formal event began at 2.00 pm with a candle procession along with our beloved Dean sir , Principal sir Dr. Girish . H .C and The guest of honour Rev.Vincent Rajkumar sir. Followed by candle lighting by the dignitaries and a prayer song . Rev Vincent Rajkumar who was the chief guest was welcomed and felicitated by Dean sir and Principal Dr. Girish. H.C The Chief guest Rev Vincent Rajkumar enlightened us with his Christmas message and cut the Cake. The program continued with a melodious Carol and an amusing skit and amazing Christmas dance performances .

In the end refreshments were given to everyone .
Then the entire college was sparkling by the remarkable lights and events.
The event ended with a Bonfire and dance performances in the evening .

Objective of the event:
The NSS unit in association with Department of Public Health Dentistry of Rajarajeshwari Dental College and Hospital organised the above mentioned events on the occasion of WORLD AIDS DAY
Number of beneficiaries: 100 students and staff
Brief outline of the event:

1. The day was kicked off by distribution of red ribbon to all the teaching and non teaching staff in the college.
2. HIV/ AIDS related information was displayed on Escroll in the college premises to spread awareness on the theme “LET COMMUNITIES LEAD” highlighting the fact that programs and initiatives perform better when driven by the most impacted communities.
3. The programme started with a solemn oath taking ceremony at our college led by the distinguished Dean Dr Edwin Dewadoss in the presence of Chief Guest Dr Raghavendra B N , staff and NSS volunteers . As we stood united in this endeavor, the oath-taking ceremony served as a powerful moment, symbolizing our dedication to promoting education, empathy, and prevention in the face of this global health challenge.
4. A lecture was rendered by Dr Raghavendra B N ( Associate Prof, Department of General Medicine) who emphasised the paramount importance and our collective commitment to raising awareness about HIV/AIDS and fostering a supportive community.
