The program was conducted on 7/03/2018 between 9.15am – 12.45pm. the inauguration function was graced by Dr. Edwin Devados, Dr.Savitha and Mr.A. Rangan. Dr. Nandakishore delivered a key note lecture followed by high tea.
Later Dr.vinay Chandra conducted live demo on inlays and veneers.
The attendance was 150. KSDC certified certificate with 3 points were handed over to delegates.

International women’s Day is all about feeling women realize their worth and giving them boost to achieve as per their actual potential. On this day the world unites to appreciate their courage to cross all the hurdles and make such a tremendous improvement in all most all the spheres of life. Besides that, it is the most important thing to be given emphasis is the work that still needs to be done to fill that gap completely that had existed from ages.

The women of RajaRajeswari Group of Institutions have truly contributed to the growth of these institutions and the management believes that the women of RRGI shall set a great example for all other women.
Karnataka State has always had a very progressive approach to Women participating in all walks of life. Women in Karnataka have led from the front and today we have women in various important positions.
This year on March 8th, RajaRajeswari Group Of Institutions women have entered the record books of Asia Book of Records and India Book Of Records with 4 records. The records are as follows
1st Record – Most women doing the Human Formation of Karnataka Map
2nd Record – Most women displaying messages about women empowerment
3rd Record – Most women taking oath for women empowerment
4th Records – Most women making the human formation of Karnataka map in 2 colours – Red and Yellow
Around 3500 women both staffs and students of RRGI have gathered today at the cricket grounds at RRMCH to create the record.
Hon’ble Minister for Small Scale Industries and Sugar Industry, Smt. Mohan Kumari was the Chief Guest for the event. While addressing the mammoth gathering, she emphasised the need for creating awareness to the women regarding their rights and stressed the need for education for women. She called upon the women to work for the upliftment of the oppressed.
Speaking on the occasion, Smt. Lalitha Lakshmi, Chairperson, RajaRajeswari Group Of Institutions and Trustee, Moogambigai Charitable and Educational Trust asked all the men to respect women and asked the women to explore opportunities and not to be afraid of obstacles.
Various women achievers from RajaRajeswari Group Of Institutions stating from the Group D, technicians, till the Doctors and professors were awarded for their services by Smt. Lalitha Lakshmi.
The event came out with a great success and all the participants were served with refreshments.

The Prestigious Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, UK with an outstanding legacy of Quality Professional Education, has a long standing relationship with RajaRajeswari Medical College and Hospital, one of the renowned medical colleges in India today.
Starting with the visit of the then President Dr. Ian Anderson which continued with the visit of the next President Prof. Frank Dunn, we now had the present President Prof. David Galloway and his team who visited to medical college and interacted with the Heads of the Institutions.
Impressed with the health care services being offered by the chairman of RajaRajeswari Medical College and Hospital to the needy and poor, the dignitaries from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow had visited the Hospital and College. In a formal function held, the dignitaries were felicitated by our hon’ble chairman Sri. A. C. Shanmugam in the presence of Dean of Dental College Dr. Edwin Devadoss and Dean of Medical colleges Dr. Sathyamurthy, CEO RRGI Sri. C.N. Seetharam, Executive Director Dr. S. Rare Honour conferred on Educationalist Sri. A. C. Shanmugam by Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, UK
Sri. A. C. Shanmugam Founder Chancellor of Dr. M.G.R. Educational & Research University and Chairman of Rajarajeswari Group of Institutions has been conferred Honorary Fellowship by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, U.K. a rare distinction meant only for distinguished Medical Professionals and Scientists. This is a true validation of the services rendered by Sri. A.C. Shanmugam in the fields of Education and Healthcare Services.
In fact he is only the 2nd Indian after Late President Sri Narayanan to receive this recognition from the Non- Medical fraternity. In the 400 year old History of the prestigious Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow this award has been conferred on only a handful of Non Medical personalities.
The process of granting this honour started early in 2012 when the then President of Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow Prof. Ian Andreson visited RajaRajeswari Medical and Dental Institutions at Bangalore. Impressed by the way the Institutions are run and seeing the quality of Medical and Dental Care being provided to poor and rural population free of cost, the team recommended the honour to Sri. A.C. Shanmugam. Following his visit the next President Prof. Frank Dunn also visited the Medical and Dental facilities at Bangalore in 2013 and appreciated how a single person could do so much of Philanthropy by providing the best of Medical and Dental care equal to that available in corporate hospitals to the poor free of cost. He also appreciated the rural medical care provided by adapting 100 or more villages in the surrounding 4 distincts and providing them primary to tertiary Medical care by Mr. Shanmugam’s Medical and Dental Colleges.
Last year Prof. Andrew Edwards the International Associate Director of Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow came and conducted Maxillofacial Surgeries a the Medical college and strongly advocated suitable recognition to the founder Chairman for the selfless service being given in the form of education and health care.
As a culmination of all these efforts the present President Prof. David Galloway and the Fellowship Committee of Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow visited the Dental and Medical Colleges at Bangalore on 23.02.2018 and decided to confer the Honorary Fellowship of Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (FRCPS) on Sri. A. C. Shanmugam and the same was confirmed at the admission ceremony held at Taj West End Hotel of Bangalore on 25th February 2018.
The present President Prof. David Galloway and the Fellowship Committee of Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow are visiting RajaRajeswari Medical College and Hospital campus on 23rd February, 2018 and will be interacting with the Heads of the Departments and the students.
Mr. A. C. Shanmugam will travel to Glasgow, U.K. in June to receive this prestigious award and recognition at a Glittering ceremony being held at the historic BUTE HALL of the Glasgow University where Noble Laureates and famous scientists were conferred similar Recognitions during the past 400 years.

A new Panaromic unit “ORTHOPHOS E” from Dentsply Sirona has been inaugurated by our honorable chairman RRGI, Shri A C Shanmugam on 27-12-2021,Monday at Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology. The event was organised in an august presence of respected Executive director,Dean Sir , Principal, Vice Principal and PG Director.
The new unit is equipped with two separate digital sensors with tube head version2.0 using CSI/CMOS technology and Sidexis 4.3.1 software version. The unit is provided with imaging modalities like Panaroma views,Lateral cephalogram,Hand wrist radiograph,Skull projections and TMJ projections.
