- The concept of All on 4 treatment was developed to maintain the use of available remnant bone in atrophic jaws, allowing immediate function and avoiding regenerative procedures
- Guided surgery is currently an alternative that allows, in appropriate cases, to perform flapless approach which reduces patient discomfort, surgical time and enhances implant placement accuracy by reducing operator error.
- Since both free hand and guided implant surgeries have their own advantages and disadvantages it is recommended that dentists should have more extensive studies in this field to increase their knowledge and understanding of the use of these two methods and to use any technique to get best results

International Yoga Day – 2023
Yoga is a powerful practice to maintain a healthy lifestyle and attain inner peace. On the occasion of International Yoga Day, 21st June,2023 Rajarajeswari dental college and hospital, department of Prosthodontics organised a yoga session which was conducted by “Art of Living” yoga instructor Dr. Deepika Bishnoi B. E, PhD. The event included Pranayama meditation and an insight into Sudharshan Kriya. Around 80 participants were benefitted by the program.
The event was graced by the presence of the Institution’s Dean Dr. Edwin Devdoss, Principal Dr. Girish HC, Vice-principal Dr.Madhumati Singh, PG director Dr. Savita and the Head of the Department of Prosthodontics Dr. Shwetha Poovani. Faculties from all the deparment, postgraduate students and interns and non teaching staff had participated in the program.

Abstract: As a part of CDE program, the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery , Rajarajeswari dental college and hospital conducted a program. A talk was organized at RRDCH in association with Septodont which was attended by all the staff, post graduates from department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Paedodontics, Conservative dentistry & endodontics, Periodontics, Prosthodontics and fellows of implantology and interns. The talk was given by Dr Giriraj Sandeep, Senior lecturer from the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. All the staff, post graduates and interns actively participated adding upto 150 participants. A video on demonstration technique of loading the cartridge into the syringe was displayed..A quiz session was conducted by Dr. Sathvik.M.S to the students and staff, prizes were awarded for the winners. 10 cartridges were given to each department for hands-on practice It was followed by a photo session. The program was a grand success.
