Dental Screening Camp at Sacred School and College
A screening camp was organized by Department of Public Health Dentistry at the Sacred Group of Institutions, Ganapathipura on 9th July 2018 from 10.00 A.M to 1.30 P.M.
A total of 140 Pre-university and Degree college students were screened, Health education was given to all the students using Health education aids. Consent forms were distributed to students to facilitate necessary treatment in future weeks. Appropriate referrals were made to Rajarajeswari Dental College and Hospital.

Awareness was spread across at Rajarajeswari Dental College and Hospital and at Satellite centers (Channasandra and Chunchunakuppe).

A screening camp was organized by Department of Public Health Dentistry at India Cement Factory, Kumbalgodu on 28th May 2018 from 10.A.M to 12.30 P.M. A total of 54 subjects were screened, Health education was given to all the subjects using Health education aids. Appropriate referrals were made to the RRDCH.

On the occasion of “WORLD NO TOBACCO DAY” on 31.05.2018 an awareness campaign about TOBACCO BREAKS HEARTS was organized by the Department of Public Health Dentistry.
Theme of World No tobacco Day 2018 was “TOBACCO BREAKS HEARTS”
The program was conducted at kengeri bus stand by Faculty members, Postgraduate students and Interns. Awareness was created by distribution of Pamphlets to the Public, shop vendors and staff at the bus stand highlighting the cardiac health risks associated with the use of tobacco products. The rural population at Chunchunakuppe and Channasandra satellite centers were also benefited by the Anti-Tobacco awareness programme.
The Postgraduate students and interns participated in Posters, Rangoli and Short film making competition organized by Karnataka Cancer Society and secured 1st prize in the Short movie section.

The Department of Public Health Dentistry and Extension activities committee will take forward the initiative. An affiliation between Youth Red Cross wing of Indian Red cross society and Rajarajeswari Dental College and hospital will mark the day.
