Voluntary Blood Donation Camp – 2018
A Voluntary Blood donation camp was organized and conducted on occasion of TEACHERS DAY September 2018 by the Department of Public Health Dentistry- Rajarajeswari Dental College and Hospital.The associating blood banks in the noble endeavor were:-
1. Blood bank Rajarajeswari Medical College and Hospital.
2. Lions club of Bangalore South- Represented by Indian Red cross society
A total of 154 units of blood were donated collectively by the volunteers of :-
1. Rajarajeswari Dental College and Hospital ( Students, Interns and Staff)
2. Rajarajeswari Medical College and Hospital( Students)
3. Rajarajeswari and ACS engineering college ( Students)
The program was well received and acknowledged by the Management, Dean, Principal and Faculty of RRDC &H.All the volunteers wholeheartedly co-operated in making this program a grand success

CDE Programme – Eliminating errors in aesthetic dentistry
A CDE programme was conducted by department of conservative dentistry and endodontics on the topic “Eliminating errors in aesthetic dentistry”. The speaker was Dr. Santhosh Ravindran, a well known researcher from Mumbai. He also conducted a short handson the newer materials and techniques in aesthetic dentistry. The programme had an attendance of 180 and a high tea was organized for audience. The entire programme was sponsered by GC company.

About the Programme:
Dental Screening and treatment camp was organized by the Department of Public Health Dentistry of RRDCH at M G Palya. A total of 74 patients were screened and 16 patients were treated for dental diseases on site at the mobile van. Appropriate referrals were made.

World Senior Citizens Day 2018
The Department of Public Health Dentistry of RRDC&H observed WORLD SENIOR CITIZENS DAY. Activities on 21st August Include:-
1. Free Dental Screening, Treatment and referral camp for the ELDERLY and General public at Rajarajeswarinagar- Bangalore
2. Oral Health awareness camp and health education program for the ELDERLY and General Public at Rajarajeswarinagar- Bangalore.
3. A total of 110 Elderly and General Public were screened for various Oral Health Problems and 20 were treated for dental problems. The Program was well appreciated by the Elderly and General public.

Camp at KIDZEE, Annapurneshwari nagara, Nagarabhavi
Dental check up and treatment camp was carried out by the Department of Public Health Dentistry, RRDCH, at KIDZEE, Annapurneshwari nagara, Nagarabhavi. A total of 74 pre school children and their parents were screened for various dental ailments, 22 people were treated on site at the mobile dental clinic.Appropriate referrals were made to the to RRDCH.

Oral hygiene week and Breast feeding Awareness week – 1st to 8TH August 2018
On occasion of ORAL HYGIENE WEEK AND BREAST FEEDING AWARNESS WEEK 2018 – The following activities were carried out by the Department of Public Health Dentistry, RRDCH, at Kanakanagar and Kethohalli -Chunchunkuppe village.
1. Dental check up camps were carried out and a total of 95 residents of all ages were screened for various oral health conditions. Appropriate referrals were made to the dental unit at Chunchunkuppe centre and also to RRDCH.
2. People were given one to one health education about the importance of oral hygiene and Distribution of free toothpastes and toothbrushes was also done.
3. On occasion of breast feeding week; Mothers of infants and young children were educated about maintaining good oral hygiene, supervised tooth brushing and prevention of dental caries.
