Course Overview
A team of dedicated faculty with Post graduate teaching experience of more than 10yrs is involved in training program of postgraduate students. Theory teaching is on need based curriculum including Basic science subjects and speciality subjects. The PG program inculcates a wide array of subjects ranging from Research methodology, Oral and general epidemiology to Preventive dentistry and latest advances in the field of Dental Public Health.
The PG clinical program includes comprehensive and Incremental dental care to the Adult and Child population of all sections of the society. Screening and Treatment is rendered by the Post graduates at Departmental clinics as well as at Field programs, Satellite center’s and outreach programs.
Field visits and dental camps to cater to the needy population are an integral part of the practical based teaching process. A fully equipped mobile dental van with 2 dental units utilized for field programs, Tobacco cessation cell which is actively involved in counselling and behavioural modification utilizing a breath analyzer, Postgraduate Clinic including modern dental chairs equipped with advanced treatment equipments are some of the notable infrastructure of the Department.
