A dental screening camp for students was conducted by Department of Public Health Dentistry at Urban Zilla Panchayat Office, Banshankari on 28th August 2024 from 10AM to 2 PM.
A total of 90 people were screened and 27 were given treatment and health education was provided to them appropriate referrals were made to RRDCH for further treatment. Oral health education was provided to all the camp patients.

The intervention of digitization into the diagnosis, treatment planning, fabrication and execution of cast partial denture has made it less cumbersome with increase in the precision of the prosthesis.

A dental screening camp for students was conducted by Department of Public Health Dentistry and Department of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry at Vasavi Vidyaniketan School and Trust, Ramnagara on 22nd August 2024 from 10AM to 2 PM .
A total of 536 students were screened and health education was provided to them appropriate referrals were made to RRDCH for further treatment. Oral health education was provided to all the camp patients.

Friendship Day Celebration
Friendship Day was celebrated at RajaRajeswari Dental College and Hospital on 7th August 2024 with great enthusiasm, beginning with an energetic flash mob dance performance by interns that set the tone for the day. The campus was vibrant with activity as various stalls were set up, offering a delightful array of treats like cupcakes, French fries, and Panipuri, along with friendship bands that students exchanged with one another. A unique highlight of the day was the symbolic gesture of placing fingerprints on a wall, representing the lasting bonds of friendship formed among the students.

Interdepartmental Clinical Meet “Preserve Expand Grow Bone For Implant Placement”

Introduction:
Three dimensional quality and quantity of bone is prerequisite for implant placement.
In modern implant dentistry ,techniques like Guided Bone Regeneration ,Socket Shielding and Ridge Expansion play pivotal role in ensuring successful outcomes for patients requiring dental implants. These procedures are designed to optimised bone volume, preserve tissue aesthetics and create stable foundations for implants.
Various methods to preserve bone like Ridge Preservation has been described. In horizontal deficiencies of bone Ridge Splitting gives better outcomes. In case of severe deficiencies techniques like GBR , Onlay graft and Distraction Osteogenesis may be required to grow bone for implant placement.
Conclusion:
The Inter Department Clinical Meet the above techniques were discussed with case examples.

Interns study club in association with Placement and competitive examination committee organized a lecture on “Practice management” by Dr. Supreeth S M, Clinical Director Smile Sculptors Dental Academy on 15/07/2024.
The lecture was very informative and gave insight to various aspects of practice management. It focused on how to establish and maintain a successful dental practice and various approaches adopted to run a clinic like hiring and retaining skilled and motivated staff, location and esthetics of the practice, the importance of display board etc. Dean Sir, Principal Sir, placement and competitive examination committee members, PGs & Interns attended the program.

Inaugurated by Dr Edwin Devadoss, The Dean and Dr Girish, The Principal, followed by a speech by Mr. Sathya Narayanan R, a student of 1st BDS (23D), welcoming all the participating colleges.
Five colleges from across Bengaluru had participated in this highly entertaining Tournament. The colleges engaged in fierce competition at the event, displaying remarkable skill and sportsmanship.
