WORLD NO TOBACCO DAY
On the occasion of “WORLD NO TOBACCO DAY” on 31.05.2017 a series of events were organized and participated on STOP USING TOBACCO PRODUCTS by the Department of Public Health Dentistry- Rajarajeswari Dental college and hospital.
Theme of World No tobacco Day 2017 was “TOBACCO – A THREAT TO DEVELOPMENT”
The events are as follows:
1. A Health education program was conducted at kengeri bus stand by Faculty members, Postgraduate students and Interns. Awareness was created by distribution of Pamphlets to the Public, shop vendors and staff at the bus stand highlighting the health risks associated with the use of tobacco products.
2. The Post graduate students presented Posters at a scientific meet organized at SDM college of ayurveda by THE KARNATAKA CANCER SOCIETY.
3. Scientific papers and posters were presented at a Clinic meet/ CDE by the postgraduate students at VS dental college, Bangalore.
