On the Occasion of World No Tobacco Day – 31st May 2025, The Department of Public Health dentistry had organized the following events:

Event 1
A human chain was formed outside the college premises to raise awareness among the general public about the dangers of tobacco use. Students, faculty, and volunteers participated by holding informative placards and banners promoting a tobacco-free lifestyle. As the college is located by a busy highway, the event effectively captured the attention of commuters and passersby, spreading the message to a wider audience.

Event 2
An awareness program was conducted inside the college premises targeting the patients and their families present in the OPD area. The event aimed to educate people about the harmful effects of tobacco use, risks of second-hand tobacco smoke exposure and promote a tobacco-free lifestyle. Activities included interactive health talks, Q&A session highlighting the risks of tobacco-related diseases and the importance of quitting. The event received a positive response.

Event 3
Pledge for Tobacco-free lifestyle was conducted in the OPD, where students, staff, and patients vowed to abstain from tobacco and support awareness efforts. Additionally, a themed photo booth was set up to engage participants creatively and reinforce the anti-tobacco message.
