World No Tobacco Day 2021
An awareness program about the theme of World No Tobacco Day Day 2021 was held at Rajarajeswari Dental College and Hospital on 09-06-2021 through an online webinar by the department of Public Health Dentistry of RRDCH.
The Speaker for the webinar was Mrs. Jayanthi Prasad, Psychotherapist, a Consultant at Diwakar Hospital, Bangalore who addressed this year’s theme ‘Commit to Quit’; she stressed on the importance of Behavioral Counseling, anticipating relapse, focusing on encouraging quit attempts, thereby helping patients stay committed to quit tobacco use. The program was well received by the students, interns and faculty of the institution.
