Brief report about the event :
On the occasion of World Environment Day 2026, BDS STUDENTS & Department of Public Health Dentistry of our Institution actively participated in the Walkathon organized by the NSS Cell, RGUHS, Karnataka, on 5th June 2026 at Lalbagh, Bengaluru.
The walkathon was flagged off by Dr Bhagavan G Vice chancellor of RGUHS by garlanding the Kuvempu prathime at west gate, Followed by a walkathon from west gate to east gate by a distance of 5 kms.
The event culminated by a taking pledge on Protecting ENVIRONMENT, minimalizing the usage of one -time plastic, reducing the usage of oil and petrol and switching to CNG.
The event successfully created awareness among the public regarding the importance of protecting the environment. A brief stage program was conducted at the conclusion of the walkathon, emphasizing the significance of collective action for a greener future.
