Traumatic Injuries: The Role of Conservative Management in Children

Abstract:-
Traumatic dental injuries(TDI) can cause problems related to teeth, as well as to the supporting tissues. These injuries can directly or indirectly affects the lives of the individuals, changing the appearance, speech and position of teeth. The consequences includes internal changes, root resorption, pulp obliteration, pulpal necrosis, ankylosis etc. Thus early diagnosis and management of TDI in children should be carried out for pain relief and prevention of damage to the underlying permanent teeth and the supporting tissues. The objrctive of this clinical meet was to give a better knowledge and understanding the case and conservative management of various traumatic injuries in children. It was conducted by the Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry involving the active participation from all the department faculty, postgraduate students and interns.
