TOPIC- MANAGEMENT OF RADIOLUCENT LESIONS IN THE MAXILLOFACIAL REGION
Radiolucent lesions in the maxillofacial region are common entity in the field of dentistry. Initial clinical representation including examination, radiographic and histopathological investigations conclude the diagnosis. Treatment always depends on the patient’s age, general health status, anatomical area of involvement, vicinity or involvement of vital structures. Treatment ranges from most conventional methods like enucleation, decompression, dredging till aggressive methods like resection of the involved bone followed by reconstruction. This Interdepartmental meet aimed to highlight various radiolucent lesions treated in both the conservative and surgical methods in the department with the follow up of all the cases. It was presented by final MDS students of our department.
