The interdepartmental meet titled “A Paediatric Dentist’s Role from Birth Through Adolescence – A Bird’s-Eye View” highlighted the comprehensive and evolving role of paediatric dentistry in promoting oral health from prenatal counselling through adolescence. The presentation emphasized that paediatric dental care extends beyond treatment of dental disease and involves prevention, early diagnosis, parental counselling, behaviour guidance, growth and development monitoring, and individualized treatment.
