Title: On the occasion of World No Tobacco Day- Dental Screening, Treatment and Awareness Camp.
Dental screening and treatment camp was conducted by Department of Public Health Dentistry in association with Government of Karnataka (Ministry of Health and Family welfare) at Primary Health Center, Y T Halli Channapatna on 28th May 2025 from 09:15 AM to 4:00 PM.
General population, Asha workers and students were sensitized on ill effects of tobacco use. Participants were educated through interactive sessions, and a World No Tobacco Day pledge was administered to reinforce commitment towards a tobacco-free lifestyle on the occasion of World No Tobacco Day-Month. Additionally, a signature campaign was conducted. A total of 37 people were screened and 10 were treated. Oral health education and demonstration was provided to the attendees. Appropriate referrals were made to RRDCH for further treatment.
