Contents: Dental screening camp was conducted by Department of Public Health Dentistry at Government Higher Primary School, Sunkadakatte. on 11th August 2026 from 10 AM to 2 PM in association with Lions club of Bangalore, Prasanth nagar.
A total of 287 people were screened. To highlight the importance of Oral hygiene day, Oral health education including the impact of oral biofilm due to poor oral hygiene and unhealthy eating habits, demonstration of appropriate tooth-brushing techniques was provided to the attendees. Teachers were trained to reinforce the oral health education to the children. Special emphasis was placed on educating students and teachers about the harmful effects of tobacco use, on oral and general health, and the importance of tobacco cessation. Free tooth brush and toothpaste were distributed. Appropriate referrals were made to RRDCH for further dental examination and treatment.
