A BLS and CPR training programme was conducted for the out-going interns. The programme started at 10 am by an introductory talk by the Principal, Dr. Rajkumar S. Alle, who highlighted the importance of handling medical emergencies in the dental practice. Following this, all members of the Emergency Handling Team made a power point presentation of various medical emergency conditions. All presentations highlighted the protocol to be followed to manage the emergency. Dr. Shwetha G. S. made a demonstration of CPR on the mannequin. The interns were divided into batches of 10 each for the hands-on workshop. The interns then performed CPR on the mannequin under the supervision of the team. A total of 28 interns registered for the event. The interns were given a chance to clarify their queries during the questionnaire session. A feedback was obtained from all the participants. Analysis of the feedback indicated that the programme was a success.
