CDE Report : Doctor-Patient Communication
The significance of effective doctor-patient communication spans across clinical, psychological and systemic outcomes. Strong communication serves as a primary clinical tool that directly impacts health results, patient safety and the sustainability of healthcare systems. To address this important aspect, the Department of Periodontology on August 7th , 2026 invited Dr. Ankita Tyagi, Senior Regional Medical Advisor (South India), Abbott Healthcare to deliver a lecture on doctor-patient communication. The speaker very eloquently delved into the nuances of the topic while highlighting the do’s and dont’s of effective doctor- patient communication using relatable clinical scenarios. The lecture was well received by the audience.
