Title: Dental Screening, Treatment and Oral Health Awareness Camp Conducted by the Department of Public Health Dentistry, RRDCH

Contents: The Department of Public Health Dentistry conducted a Dental Screening, Treatment and Oral Health Education Camp at Sri Nimishambha Temple, Srirangapatna, on 7th August 2026, in collaboration with Sri Chamundeshwari Medical College and Hospital. The camp was conducted for members of the general public visiting the temple, providing them with an opportunity to avail themselves of oral healthcare services. A total of 114 individuals were screened for various oral health conditions, and 42 individuals received dental treatment.
The camp aimed to provide comprehensive oral healthcare services and promote awareness regarding the importance of maintaining good oral health. Participants were educated on proper oral hygiene practices, tooth-brushing techniques, healthy dietary habits, common oral health problems, and the importance of regular dental check-ups. Interactive oral health education sessions were conducted to address participants’ queries and provide appropriate guidance regarding the prevention, early detection, and management of oral diseases.
Individuals requiring further evaluation, specialized treatment, or continued care were appropriately referred to Rajarajeswari Dental College and Hospital (RRDCH) for further management.
