On occasion of World No Tobacco day, Oral Cancer Awareness and Screening Camp was conducted by Department of Public Health Dentistry at Nirashrithara Parihara Kendra on 29th May 2026.
A total of 25 inmates were screened for oral cancer. Oral health education and demonstration, awareness about harms of tobacco was provided to the attendees using flipcharts and posters. Pledge for Tobacco- free lifestyle was conducted. The program was well received by the officials, inmates and school children. Appropriate referrals were made to RRDCH for further treatment.
