CDE PROGRAMME : Role of Magnification in Endodontics and Restorative Dentistry

Date: 5th March 2026
Venue: SLL Auditorium
Guest Speaker: Dr Roopak Bose

A Continuing Dental Education (CDE) programme titled” Role of Magnification in Endodontics and Restorative Dentistry” was held on 5th March 2026 at SLL Auditorium, with the aim of enhancing the knowledge and practical skills of postgraduate students in the field of Magnification in Endodontics.

The program was successfully conducted with a dignified inaugural ceremony, commencing with the traditional lighting of the diya to mark the occasion. This symbolic gesture set a reverent tone, attended by faculty, postgraduate students, and dental professionals. The highlight of the event was the keynote address by Dr. Roopak Bose, who delivered an insightful presentation on the “Role of Magnification in Endodontics and Restorative Dentistry.”

Dr. Bose emphasized how magnification deviceslike dental operating microscopes and loupes enhance precision in root canal treatments,
and restorative procedures, supported by clinical case studies and evidencebased outcomes that underscored improved success rates and minimized procedural errors.

Following the session, participants enjoyed refreshments, providing an opportunity for networking and informal discussions on the topic’s practical applications. The program effectively bridged theoretical knowledge with clinical relevance. Overall, the event reinforced the importance of advanced visualization tools in modern dental practice, leaving attendees motivated to integrate these technologies into their workflows.
