“World No Tobacco Day” 2016
On the occasion of “WORLD NO TOBACCO DAY” on 31.05.2016 (10 am -1 pm) an awareness program about STOP USING TOBACCO PRODUCTS was organized by the Department of Public Health Dentistry.
Theme of World No tobacco Day 2016 was “GET READY FOR PLAIN PACKAGING”
The program was conducted at kengeri bus stand by Faculty members, Postgraduate students and Interns. Awareness was created by distribution of Pamphlets to the Public, shop vendors and staff at the bus stand highlighting the health risks associated with the use of tobacco products. The rural population at Agara and Channasandra satellite centres were also benefitted by the Anti-Tobacco awareness programme.
